Brian Óg McKeever in memoriam

November 8, 2013 at 5:03 pm

Brian Óg played a key role in Steelstown’s run to the Dr Kerlin Cup title in 2008, the club’s first senior silverware. He is picture here with the squad after the final (middle row, second from left).

Today, Steelstown remembers the life of one of its finest ever players and one of its best young men.

Brian Óg McKeever passed away five years ago but, in such a short life time, the legendary number five set an inspiring legacy for his club and the whole community to follow. To abide by his spirit is the best thing Steelstown could’ve ever done.

Today, let’s celebrate the life of Brian Óg and all the good times and memories and inspiration that he left behind and continues to leave.

There will be an anniversary mass held on Sunday at St. Joseph’s Church in Galliagh at 11am for a young man who was, is still, and will always be a huge part of our club.
