Urgent Notice

April 7, 2011 at 2:51 pm

A father of two young boys within our catchment area has been diagnosed with a very agressive form of Leukemia and urgently needs a Bone Marrow transplant, unfortunately no member of his own family are suitable donors. A request has been made that all our current blood donors check for suitability. They are urged to contact the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service at 02890321414 where their blood type details are available and ask regarding their suitability for Bone Marrow donation. Please be aware that time is of the essence.

There is a blood transfusion service in the Guildhall on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Blood donors can have a sample taken for bone marrow suitability. We would urge all members to help if they can, they may be helping to save someones life.
